I got up, crawled aways, and struck a match.
"What are you doing?" she asked.
"I want to see whose grave I'm making love on," I said.
The match went out.
"Gad-damn it!" I said.
"You're drunk," she said.
"I could be," I said, and struck another match.
"You're drunk," she said.
I read the writing on the tombstone: "James Carrol Brown, bo August 9, 1875, died May 4, 1883. He's in God's arm now."
"You're drunk, honey," she said.
